Arashi Excursion 2012

In this trip I went to 2 places for my Arashi excursion... my friend called it pilgrimage to be exact LOL...
First is... Mt Takao, Remember Arashi ni Shiyagare episode 93? Yeah, so what I did is just going to the same path as what they did on that show, only I continued to the summit. Now I understand why they're stopping at the temple, not continue on to the top because it's all climbing up rows of stairs and I can imagine Nino will whine all the way up there and all of them won't look that pretty anymore after climbing up there haha...
How to go to Mt Takao? Easy! Just sit on the Yokohama line up till the end (Hachioji station) and transfer to Takaosanguchi station. Basically you're there, so just take the road map, choose which track you're going to follow. Arashi excursion is track #1 (the longest) but you can cut it through the cable car aka cheating like what Arashi and I did LOL.
Expectation (screencap from the episode):

Reality:

I didn't get to eat the taiyaki because... didn't remember it haha... Seems that they took off the charm protection from the huge tree but you still can recognize it because of the hippari tako next to it.

From left to right: The male path (seems that lots of people like to take this path, guess Arashi effect?); The female path (longer but it's not climbing up, save energy for later); end of the path is... ; yeah, that goma dango stall! They're smart enough to advertise that Arashi's been here, and good for me, that means I'm on the right track haha...

Arashi stopped here in AniShi shows because after this it's all...

STAIRS... all STAIRS in any form all the way to summit!!!! and the first thing you see after all of those stairs...

VENDING MACHINE! LOL!!!! Things to note, you don't need to equipped yourself with water bottle and food when you climb mt. Takao. Just bring with you coins and cash! Seriously, they have everything along the path... you won't suffer of any dehydration at all... fresh cold water is on the go everywhere!
The summit also have soba shop too!

The scenery...

If you go to Mt. Takao in autumn, you have have have to take the scene below because it'll be dead gorgeous!

Aiba-chan should share this dango! It's bloody huge! I even hesitated to buy this dango in the first place, but I'm on Arashi excursion, so I just have to LOL... The dango is soo nice! it's crispy on the outside but very mochi mochi on the inside, and it's hot, bit not suitable for summer, but will be perfect for autumn or winter.
And some summer flowers:

The episode ends with the soba place, but in Mt. Takao there're about 10 soba places! So, which one to go if you don't really remember which one? Easy... just pick inside, the one featured in the episode has people queue in the waiting room LOL... and I know I'm in the right place when I saw the menu, they have that duck soba! But, since it's hot 35C, people are eating the cooling totoro soba that Oh-chan ate and it's delicious, and very refreshing! The totoro (grated yam) just easily flow down to your throat and the yasai is quite unique. Dashi tastes very subtle not too strong and I'm satisfied!

NTV Building at Shiodome
I reached NTV via Shinagawa station because I have no idea how to get to Shiodome station when my map only had JR line subways on it. Luckily NTV building is big enough to be recognized from quite far away so it's not that hard to reach there and on your way back you'll see the signs on how to go back to the station, so no problem in that.
This year giant slider is Evangelion, not Kaibutsu-kun hehehe... and everywhere is yellow because of 24hr Terebi...

I queued for 30min just to see this big giant pillar... wait how come there's only 4... that's because... the security guard is staring at me and nobody else is taking pic except me... so... not supposed to? so that's why there's only 4... gomen ne Matsujun...

New Studio Ghibli's movie, I'm so watching this, the trailer is very very promising!
Johnny's excursion to Tower Records at Shiodome... apparently to Tower Records, Johnny's and AKB48 is a genre and they have to be on each other, so it's a war! LOL... and everywhere it's Johnny's from SMAP to K8 haha...

NTV's summer drama... anybody watch this?

And off course, the loot!

Yokohama scenery...
When it comes to Yokohama, this scenery is always the first thing comes up on my mind:
Yep, it's Himitsu no Arashi-chan Mannequin Five SP from last year!
But unfortunately not even local people that I know can tell me where exactly I can get this exact view. So this is the expectation, and the reality is...
This is as close scenery as possible that I can get... I have no idea how to get to that place because I already walked from Sakuragichou to the pier and almost halfway to Yamashita park. But then I thought again that Yamashita park will be too far off to take the view so I cancel the plan because walking there will be another 1 or 2km and I had to walk back to Sakuragichou because I was going to meet my friend at Queens.
Some random stuffs...
You know you're in Japan when the bookstore has its magazine display like this one LOL... anything to attract fangirls...
Hello Kitty said that it's dangerous to stick your finger on the door. Look what happened if you do that... point at the wrapped non existence finger hehehe...
Which one is prettier? Matsujun or Kiritani Mirei? hahaha...
Always love the trip to Bic Camera because you'll see this and..
This... so long they're endorsing, you'll see this in Bic Camera hehehe... and I love this fridge... heard from my friend that SG has this model... but my Samsung fridge is still working just fine...
This is my last purchase with my last bits of cash haha... I just have to buy it because it's a pretty magazine and it has lots of them in it... on better paper... their section and the pretty shots are printed on the thicker paper... The magazine itself... it's said to be a culture magazine (from gardening to book, to art to food), but the way I see it, this is sort of the Japanese style of Real Simple... and off course... prettier...
