Porridge is a very simple dish that everybody can make, including our beloved miracle boy and this episode shows how it's done well. The only problem in porridge is that sometimes we're not sure the proportion between the rice and water, which is why this episode is really helpful.
Expectation:

Reality:

What you need for 4 person portion:
300 gr rice
2 tsp vegetable oil (I use sesame oil, instead)
2 tsp salt
3 L water
12 pc dried scallops (medium size) ~ soaked and shredded
How to:
1. Place the rice on a strainer and soak it and lift up the strainer and place the rice on a bowl.
2. Coat the rice with oil until well mixed.
3. On a pot, put water and start to boil it under slow fire, add on the coated rice, salt and the scallops
4. Cook the rice for about 40-50 minutes. Pointer: by the time the rice blooms that's when you off your fire.
5. Serve hot and with toppings like: Century eggs (Pi Tan) aka J's fave, fermented tofu, pickled lettuce, chinese doughnuts.
Look at his face suddenly brightened up when the chef told him guys who can cook porridge can gain more female fans LOL...
The lesson starts, Aiba-chan listened to the instruction attentively

Just because I love his cuteness here. His expressions here remind me on his chibi days pics LOL...
Eating time, the boy is really excited.
Who can resist from making a screencap our of this cutie, off course it's OISHII!
His tension is unusually high on this cooking lesson, well, it's Chinese cooking!
Make a greeting before cooking session starts as the son of Chinese restaurant owner LOL... he's very proud of it ne...

Very different from the French Toast segment, he's serious this time, no fooling around. His reputation as Chinese restaurant owner's son at stake LOL...
See, the recipe is so easy even the boy is surprised that he also can do it LOL... Good Job Aiba-chan!
BUT, who's gonna be the witness of the taste?
Well, this time it's the whole herd. Everybody must eat Aiba-chan's creation LOL!
The brat already quickly voice out his concerns aka complains LOL...
Aiba-chan had the confidence this time! 'Mou man tai', but he said it not convincingly LOL
Sho-chan can't believe that it's Aiba-chan's cooking coz it's that good LOL wahaha..

Nino insisted for the real cook to come out, persistently LOL
Just plain porridge is not enough, porridge must be accompanied by toppings and Aiba-chan is calling out Xie Xie girls to bring out the toppings, the rest of the boys were confused who's Xie Xie girls?
To their disappointment, it's just Funky Girls in chongsam LOL
Who's the brave one eating that big chunk of fermented tofu? That chunk is for the whole bowl, not just 1 gulp LOL
Off course, who else, LOL wahaha... only this boy will cause the commotion and he so quick to ate it before anybody even had a chance to warn him LOL...

So, in the end, it's the same results regardless whether Aiba-chan can cook or not, Sho-chan's reaction is the same LOL!!!
