Last Hope at Eighth Episode
We're almost there! 3 more episodes to go and how's our doctors doing? Definitely not good!
We have Tae-san suddenly collapsed, Kyouko-chan traumatized (duh? who didn't?)...
Our pretty doctor still doesn't know who he is... Everybody in the past seems to be connected to Seito Kenji at one point in time...
Basically... we have a messy threads all over the place and how the rest of episodes wrap those mess up? It'll be interesting and I really hope FujiTV plays it smart and not put an anti-climax ending for this drama. I'll even take an open end ending rather than anti climax.
We don't have lots of pretty doctor shots. I tried to take as much as possible, but not that many in the first place because he's not the main focus in this episode. The argument this time is who has the right to call the shot to pull the plug when the patient is brain dead... masaka!!!! *Gasp* NOOOOOO!!!!
We starts the same scene as where we left off from Epi 7, we go straight ahead with Komaki-sensei... so he's the main doctor of the day now...

His son was in the ER and Komaki sensei just reached the hospital a little too late...

A devastated parent. The background is the news on the fire where Satoshi, Komaki sensei's son was caught on.
Who's that kid? We'll find out later...

This second time is myocardial infarction (fancy name of heart attack) on the right ventricle. Takagi-sensei doesn't understand why it's happening now, only 3 days after the transplant. It's part of the risk because 70% of her heart has become necrotic.
So they're raising with time with option and what they can do... (wait for subs!!!)
This face... cannot be trusted... I still don't understand what the head center is thinking...

Oh it looks so real!!! Our GP had really done TONS of operations...
Takagi-sensei looked so calm and they wonder why he's not scared (?). Then it goes something like, when people's life is in their hands, any doctor can go insane.

Operation looks OK, but....

VF!!! And they started doing the heart massage that even Soejima sensei told them they passed the limit and to stop, but they're still not giving up...
The heartbeat is back, but... the probability of the patient being brain dead is high... *noooooo*....

Back in the past... this episode will be bouncing back and forward like this that now even the past maybe just a couple days ago, but still in the past with all the sepia...

Hatano-sensei is trying to confront head center with what's his actual relationship with the Saito couple, particularly Saito HItomi. Same story telling from the one with daddy.

So, turn out that Saito Hitomi was his benefactor. Head center was not from a rich family so when he went to university, Saito Hitomi requested her parents to help him with the tuition. Seems that they didn't have any romantic relationship as Hitomi later was married to Kenji. Again related to the tunnel incident... and oh, head center won't tell Hatano sensei what daddy not spilling... aka... back to square one...

hmmmmm.... a bit of emotion now on head center face... but our pretty doctor? Remains as pretty...

Tae-san didn't go back to consciousness and they're checking for other signs... and with heavy heart they announced that Tae-san is brain dead... *NOOOOO*...

This is the first time our pretty doctor experience this (failing to save the patient?). His hand just couldn't stop until the heart beat was back, which Soejima spite him back that it's not saving because now we have a brain dead patient.
Now they need to contact the family with the news.

Another notebook? Moshikashite... and poor Kyouko-chan... when she starts to have courage, this happened...

Komaki sensei loved his son. It's funny how he explain cells and stuff on a kid barely 10 years old. Satoshi apparently was concern over his friend, who had changed and now was always alone, not playing together with the rest of the kids. And daddy's answer is... complicated! and long... Looking back at his son confused face, Komaki sensei using robot as analogy, as a hero. The right answer is in Satoshi's heart.

Thanks to the article by the bitchy reporter (I don't like her face), now head center was on the hot spot. Other doctors seemed to be happy to blame him (bureaucrats!)

So now, we have another argument, so Tae-san's family has the right to pull the plug? The decision was not on the person who's closed to her, but on her estranged family. I feel bad for the assistant because she doesn't want them to pull the plug.

The doctors are tight with policy and procedures. Hatano sensei was apologizing. So, which one was right?

And Tae-san's starting note... full of her dreams are now on the assistant's hand... she must be really sad...

Tae-san really wanted to live. She had a vision for her agency. She treated assistant, Nanami (Now I know the name) in certain way because she knew that Nanami actually had the talent and she wanted Nanami to work harder, that's why she worked hard as well.
I won't blame her at all...

Everything is related, Tachibana sensei must find out what's her dad researching on...

So, we have the desert of the day, apple pie in the box? No more Hatano sensei munching on his deserts?
Nanami has calmed down, think she started to accept the reality after reading both the starting and ending notes.
What did Hatano-sensei see in this ending note?

Meanwhile, we have problem with the other patient... she disappeared!

OK Engrish Engrish Engrish... so Soejima sensei was calling for investment on Komaki sensei's research?

I like this scene. Komaki sensei just happened to visit the same cafe as Kyouko-chan (coincidentally?), reluctantly he changed his seat next to Kyouko-chan. Komaki sensei told Kyouko-chan that it's not his job to bring her back (hah!). Lots of people will be worried about her though.
I think the talk with Komaki sensei here did a good thing to Kyouko-chan because there's no sweetener in what he said, just as is.
He told her about the ending note that Tae-san also had and apparently she also carried the organ donor card. So she's planned ahead as well in the case if she died. Tae-san was really a great person.

Main message: You're not alone.

Kyouko-chan was back thanks to Komaki sensei and she's in for a surprise. Tae-san thought of her and designed the cafe for her. OMG I almost cried when I saw this.

Kyouko-chan, ikite!

This conversation with Satoshi's friend (the one that he's worried about). Satoshi died because he tried to help him, but unfortunately Satoshi not making it and the friend felt so guilty. Komaki sensei comfort the poor boy that it's not his fault and it's Satoshi's decision (something like that)...

Checking and confirming that Tae-san was brain dead.
With mask and still pretty... sigh...
Good bye Tae-san...

One patient gone...

Another patient to be saved, ganbare Kyouko-chan...

She's prepared, her face showed determination...

A closure for Nanami... and to move forward...

Seeing head center with hair... surreal...
Hitomi was pleading to head center for (??? what!!!)
Head center declined because he's still an intern... and Hitomi is now pushing because head center is funded by her (basically) so he cannot say no. She's pleading for head center to operate on Hatano Takumi... (what???? operate what)

it's so creepy the way head center said that he won't quit...

OMG, Komaki sensei... you're really going to revive your son through cloning?

Another probing info from another source...

So, in connection to the tunnel incident, they're pleading to Hatano sensei senior to do something... but Hatano sensei declined

As per his memory...

The last hope, to cure who?
OH DRAMA!!!!

And this guy will be guesting in the next episode??? Gyaaaa... Look forward to it :)
