My K-drama List

Might as well make this list before I forgot what I've been watching. I should have done this a long time ago before I stopped on K-drama so that I know where I left off, not that it matters but it could make my watching routine/binge more structured and more efficient because right now I'm just jumping around on any drama that I thought would be interesting, though some ending up in the dumping bin. I won't mention those that have gone to the dumping bin, only those that I managed to finish, whether with tons of fast forward or not. It'll be still a long list, but I'd think still be lesser than the J-dorama. And since it'll be a lesser list, I'll just put a short thought on what I like or whatever.
Again, emphasizing of my criteria of a drama. Visual is the utmost importance. There's no point watching a drama unless the story is really good and appealing to me if there's no visual. I'm dealing with lots of shit and excels everyday, so I need to see something pretty and think less at the end of the day. Another habit of mine is going through actors' resume if I want to do a binge watching. I like to see how an actor grow (or not) and the type of works that he'd chosen.
Random:
My Name is Kim Sam Soon - My ultimate all time favorite because it has strong female MC (without your typical stick thin, S line body type) and Hyung Bin was at his best look. Nevermind that I hate the second female lead and Hyung Bin character was wishy washy, those can be ignored.
Kill Me, Heal Me - Like the drama and JiSung is very good playing all the 7 personalities, especially YooNa and SeGi.
Reply 1997 - Watched it for the sake of nostalgia, I mean, HOT & Sechkies! and thought of casting Eun Ji Won to be the boyfriend of Sechkies fangirl was hella smart.
Splash Splash Love - a cute short drama including time travel.
Blood - vampire doctor who can kick ass. The ending is rushed and I hate how they kill the cute side kick :(.
Jang Geun Suk's:
You're Beautiful - The only JGS drama so far that I really like, nevermind that the girl naivity is beyond your common sense.
Hong Gil Dong - Watched it because of JGS but ended up wonder why did I even watch this one at the end.
Bethoven Virus - The period when I wondered when will ever JGS actually get the girl. Nice drama, the girl couldn't make up her mind like forever throughout the drama, but still it's your typical K-drama plot.
Bel Ami - Watched it because of JGS but ended up liking IU in here as the stalker fangirl. So-so drama, skipped lots of the bullshit but JGS crying scene is always heart wrenching.
Hwang Jin Yi - The costumes!
Non Stop 4 - So many chibi (there's a period when Hyung Bin's hair was orange) here. A very fun sitcom and I still have the files in my HD from years ago.
Kim Bum's:
Hidden Identity - Merry go round plot, not happy with the fighting scenes (not nicely done :(). But kept watching hoping that they don't kill KB's character.
Jung Yi - Typical saeguk drama. Prefer Dong Yi compared to this one.
Still, Marry Me - One of my fave. Love the ladies' friendship and their characters. Not really the typical K-drama, fun to watch and it touched the issue on love and marriage.
Lee Jong Suk's:
I Hear Your Voice - The drama that made me thought LJS could actually act. His sad puppy eyes are killing it here. Typical drama plot with a touch of SP power. A bit of makjang, but still lighter, though the bad dude is really evil.
Doctor Strange - Don't like the idea of competition in operating on patients. It's disgusting, and the plot is predictable, very.
Pinocchio - Not my fave of LJS' works but better than Doctor Stange. The interns characters are enjoyable, and LJS' wig is a huge turn off.
Lee Jun Ki's (you know he's one of my fave coz I'll watch practically any of his works):
Iljimae - Love this drama to bits, even though I hate the ending, and MC is beyond pitiful, but this drama is beautiful.
Time between Dog & Wolf - I hate the ending, LJK character is too pitiful and I dreaded to do a re-watch of this. But it's a really good drama nevertheless.
My Girl - Your typical older days K-drama. The only thing that I remember from this drama is LJK is 100 times prettier than the girl, and the family intervention (one of the things that I hate from K-drama) is overkill.
Hero (2009) - Probably the only drama besides My Girl where LJK didn't have any kickass fighting scene, and his character here is hella entertaining, and very different from the rest of his drama.
Arang & the Magistrate - Not my fave out of LJK's works but it's enjoyable to watch. The mom revenge obsession was ridiculous, but that's what makes the story going at the background, while we enjoy the banter between LJK and SMN's characters.
Scholar who Walks the Night - 2 things that will be forever remembered from this drama: the vampire doing CPR and the blood bath scenes. Plus LSH made a very badass villain and made me look up his resume.
Joseon Gunman - Badass action scenes, LJK was awesome here, but I don't like the girl and the ending scene is rather throwing all common sense out of the window.
Two Weeks - Again, badass action scenes, ridiculous common sense on how he still be alive at all after all those injuries etc. The phase is great and it'll keep you on the edge throughout the series. And the bad guy is pure evil.
So Ji Sub's:
Oh My Venus - Not really a So Jisub fan but the OTP is beyond cute and the boys are <3. Very light drama with the typical chaebol set up, but more importantly, like how it made an effort to show the importance of taking a good care of your body and the need to customize your diet and exercise to be healthy.
Master's Sun - Watched this because my friend told me it's better than Oh My Venus, but it's not for me. Lots of round about and looks messy and it gave me the impression that GHJ character is very similar to hers in Pasta.
Ji Hyun Woo's:
Queen In Hyeon Man - One of my fave at the moment because it's fast pace, no family intervention, and the OTP looks real.
Angry Mom - Watched it because of JHW but JiSoo captured my attention here. Heavy drama on school bullying and the screwed up education system, but you'd still root for the mom.
Trot Lovers - Your typical K-drama plus the amnesia plot. Love the OTP, though JHW's character is a jackass in the beginning.
Awl - A very heavy and stressful drama on labor reform, but can't drop this as I wanted to know the ending, though it's not even as per what I'd like to.
JiSoo:
Doctors - Watched this in random because the last K-drama that I want to watch is medical drama (still think the details is not there) and I saw JiSoo's name on it (though he only has 1-2 episode of screentime).
Page Turner - Nice short high school drama. Love the characters.
Eric's:
Another Miss Oh - Love this drama, another fave. The girl was crazy, the guy was a tsundere and an asshole, the other guy was equally an asshole, and the rest of the characters are equally messy. Don't forget the hot kissing scene on epi 9.
Spy Myungwol - The plot is rather ridiculous. Another reason why I don't really like drama with North Korea in it
Ji Chang Wook's:
Healer - Cool action scenes. Love the OTP (cuteness overload because the MC is an awkward dude <3). Kinda predictable plot but it's not round about, so it's fun to watch.
Empress Ki - I'd guess this is your another typical serious saeguk drama. Lots of scheming, blood, injustice, betrayal, tons of actions, but none of them is coming from the dear male lead. I stopped until Togon became emperor and the evil old man was ousted, it's bloody 50+ episodes and I've skipped so many just to see the plot moves (really slow).
