I think I know Vermont Curry from House brand for quite some times already and I know I like this brand because it's sweet, BUT little did I know that even this curry brand cannot escape from Arashi's claw. Yeah, I just realized Aiba-chan is endorsing Vermont curry when I flip on TV channels during my stay in Fukuoka. For the fun of it, this is what I saw back then *just learned how to use the embed feature in LJ, so embarassing LOL*
Dou? So so so mouthwatering right? But too bad my cooking skill and my kitchen don't allow me to produce such a succulent pork chop curry (and I bet even dear Aiba-chan can't make that)
So, since December is Aiba-chan's month, I'm sharing the curry that I made few weeks ago (after watching that Arashi ni Shiyagare episode where they all eat the amai karai curry and I'm drooling over my TV screen in the middle of the night and having craving for curry days after it)

How to make the curry? Viva Viva V6 showed me long time ago how to add flavor to your curry naturally, and I learned well from that show. So, what I did is modify a bit the recipe from the back of the box and here it is. It's very very easy to make because I use minced meat.
Ingredients:
1 small Vermont curry pack (for 6 servings)
300 gr minced pork
300gr carrot - cut big
300gr potato - cut big
2 onions - sliced thick
2 banana
1 gala apple
1 big scoop of honey (I use dark honey)
500 ml chicken stock
350 ml water
How to:
1. Sautee onion until cooked, then add on minced meat and cook until meat is well done.
2. Add on carrot, potato, chicken stock and water, bring to boil.
3. Mesh apple and banana using blender, mix in honey and cut curry block. Add them in.
4. Cook until the carrot is soft.
Tips:
1. it's ok to use apple only, you can use more apple to substitute banana
2. you can substitute potato with apple (it'll be more sweet and less starchy)
3. And always, if you're eating the curry rice with egg, poke the yolk and mix it with the curry sauce, you'll get a totally different taste, and yummy level goes up 1 more notch (just like what you see in Arashi ni Shiyagare LOL, and now you also can say 'umaiiii!!!!')
4. Curry is best with white rice, but if you want a variety, try to cook your rice with vegetable broth, you'll experience another different taste.
Enjoy!!!
