So, we all know that Matsujun has been glowing and looking good and considerably younger from the past few years ago (even my friend who's not a fan disbelieved when she saw him on the magazine covers couple weeks ago) over the past months or to be exact since last year. From Music Station in March, he's said that he's been living a healthy lifestyle by drinking veggie juice and eating healthy and that time he shared his tofu recipe, which is yummy (I'm still making it every now and then XD). Now in Hanamaru Cafe for Hidamari no Kanojo, he's sharing his usual 'breakfast' with us.

See? Matsujun still looking good despite the huge panda eyes in this Hanamaru Cafe and you see the glow...

So he makes the juice himself for everybody in the studio...

TV makes it look not so disgusting LOL... especially with Matsujun holding it... hmmm... drinkable

Reality

So, I made my own spinach juice. I used baby spinach because the spinach on the aisle didn't look appetizing and this is the first time I buy spinach. Spinach is just not one of the veggies that I'd look forward to eat.

To make 1 glass, you'd need:
Half bunch baby spinach
1 glass water

How to? Just as what Jun did, just put into the blender and turn it on! Make sure that it purees totally. I used hand blender because I don't have the big bulky blender and it works fine.
Now, the problem is that, Jun just drink it like that... together with the bits. Me? I foresee that it'll be disgusting, so, I strain it. it's not as hard and messy if you have the disposable teabags (this is one of the God-sent products from Daiso), just use that as strainer and it works fine.

Taste? Well, definitely not for the soft hearted who likes fluffy and good stuff. To me this is a true hardcore healthy drinks. Taste like spinach, only you don't need to chew and there's the raw smell too (well, it's raw spinach). BUT, it's still better than cilantro juice in terms of smell, trust me! LOL. I'd think you can add honey to sweeten it up but I'll wonder what it'd taste... weird, I guess.

Will I drink this every day? Well, NO... just, NO. As much as I'd love to be glowing like Jun, I don't have the determination to make the fresh juice and endure drinking it every single day. And imagine that you'd need to wash everything every morning before you go to work... I'd still rather spend that time to sleep...

Even Jun admitted that it doesn't taste that good and his senpai just translated Jun's remarks perfectly, MAZUI LOL
And all of them drank that spinach juice with the bits... with the straw... that's just... LOL...

And I wonder if this healthy lifestyle also means... dropping the tabako too hahaha... slim chance, but I'd like to think that he'll do that eventually...

You know I used to mash up and make spinach puree for the children when they were babies! ^__^ ... It's what babies eat! ... I think maybe to jazz it up a bit ... try adding tomato juice and perhaps a dash of tabasco.

The alight salty and sourness might cut through the 'healthy raw' taste a little. But ... I think if you leave the bits in (as I did for the children) you can use celery sticks and use it as a dip. ... you can add cucumber too ... and you nearly have a gazpacho ^_~

All healthy all good, and with the added ingredients ... that's nearly a filling soup. Serve chilled and it is actually quite refreshing.

Also ... I just bought kimchi, natto, and tofu ... although I don't think the tofu is as good as the one in Liang Court. I was in Cold Storage. ;_; I guess beggars can't be choosers.

I'm looking forward to my dinner tonight for sure!

Also ... also ... isn't he just! He's been extra pretty and glowing for maybe ... a year I think. All the shoots that I've seen him in have been amazing and it isn't just his skin though ... he's like glowing from inside out. So beautiful!

If he was a woman I'd say he was either in love or pregnant. That feeling of being beautiful inside really is strong when I was pregnant. Like nothing could touch me and I was just amazing!

So maybe he's in love ... and it doesn't have to be with a person per se. He could really be at a really good place in his life just now that he is loving it a lot!

It's good to see him so happy!

I think really next time I will be patient and go for the Liang court tofu because the difference is HUGE!!!! Really I was so amazed at the taste difference.

Also this time I went for the natto with the mustard ... and I am surprised at myself by how much I like it and really ... I can get addicted to the stuff.

I really love how tasty such a simple recipe is! ... and would you believe that my niece and my daughter likes it too! Although my niece is not that keen on the kimchi part.

So yeah ... I can get the family to eat. Not hubby and the boy though ... I think it might be a little too alien for them.

*hug*

Enjoy your weekend dear.

aaawww you tried the natto w/ mustard too haha... nice right? You know Isetan sell them at much cheaper price!

Why do we have to go so far to have good tofu? huhuhu... but really Liang Court tofu is the best so far haha...

Glad that it can be a family menu, I bet Matsujun will nod in approval XD! He should release a cookbook and I won't mind translate those recipes LOL...
