Having a binge of K-drama after so many years gave me a new realization that I really like those drama which involves unrealistic aspects. Not in the sense of the dude is rich etc, but in the sense of time travel, different dimensions, super power abilities, saeguk but not those seriously historical and long ones (yeah those stuffs LOL). And I've developed a new habit of avoiding the high school theme drama, unless it's interesting to me. Most likely probably due to the so many live action in the past few years for the good or bad. Too many and it's overkilling.

Maybe this is also why I like watching Lee JunKi's saeguk drama and looking forward to Scarlett Heart Ryeo. So, this drama, W is not exception for me to tune in. 2 worlds between manhwa and reality with a good looking main character come to live. As a manga reader, this is like a dream come true, and coming from the writer of Queen InHyeon's Man, okay I'll bite.

Your face when the sad reality is slapped in front of your face XD

To be honest, I find the phase of this drama is rather fast for a k-drama so I have my worries that it'll go haywire in the middle and rush towards the end. It didn't happen to Queen InHyeon, so I hope it stays true for this as well.

Why I like this drama? It's not so heavy though we started with the sad story of Kang Chul, how he fell out from being the star athlete to a convicted murdered with his whole family as the victim and him being thrown to jail only to be released afterwards due to lack of evidence, and then this led him to standing on Han River Bridge to end his life, only he decided not to, and that's when the drama began. I said this is not heavy because we all know that this is what we read in the manhwa, so it kinds of lessen the burden of being real. Then we have the heroinne being back and forward between the 2 world and up till Epi 4, we still don't know what exactly the rules which trigger Yeon Joo (the heroine) to be absorbed into the manhwa world. We do know how she could go back to the reality though, through all the series of hillarity but not so funny in Epi 4. It's a different take from Queen In Hyeon, but nevertheless it's a thrilling ride so far, thanks to the characters.

I love the heroine Yeon Joo more than the male lead, Kang Chul. She's comical and panicky in a funny way, you can actually see what she's thinking from her expression, which is probably why it amused Kang Chul. So far, she doesn't give that bimbotic vibe so I'm happy with that.

Then off course we need the good looking dude for the protagonist. I find that Lee Jong Suk is really easy on the eyes (I like him in I hear your voice, and again it's the drama involving some SP powers). Kang Chul here has so many layers that we only see glimpses of them in these 4 episodes and I can't wait for the drama to reveal more. In the manhwa world, definitely Kang Chul knew more than the rest of the characters, and I'm curious on the how and hope this is told in the latter episodes.

And the artwork, between the reality and the manhwa. I'm not sure if there's a software for this or they do have manhwa artist working day and night to convert the scenes to manhwa because that's quite a lot of work.

And bonus:
This scene is basically what we want to know if our favorite manga character comes to live and we get to kiss him LOL and I like the assistant character.

Those questions LOL...

Every fangirls dream....
