Fall 2016 J-dorama

After a long draught, finally Fall 2016 is here. Most of the time, I have faith in Fall season dorama, so this time I put my faith that doramaland maintains this assumption. So a few that I will try to watch:

Kyoaku wa Nemurasenai SP ~ I watch anything with Tamaki, whether I'll like it and keep on watching it will be another question.
Career ~ Yes, I'll watch anything with Tamaki. Why he's not doing romcom is beyond me. I miss the smoldering Tamaki!!!
Jimi ni Sugoi ~ took a glimpse of Epi 1, it looks decent though I couldn't say that I like Ishihara Satomi's character, but I'll still watch it for her. However, if it gets boring, then I'll drop it.

I'm not sure whether I want to watch Koe Koi (it'll be a binge watching).

To be honest, I really miss the old time of J-dorama where I was so overwhelmed on which drama I should watch. The current selection is meh to be honest. They should just do another season of Legal High and I'll watch it without any thoughts, and I thought there'll be another season of Dr X (this is the only drama which I kept on watching and has been consistent in delivery)?

I wonder why TV Asahi doesn't turn Jiken Kyumeii ~ Imat no Kiseki into a drama. It already has 2 SP and I like both of them, full of suspense and twist at the end, and I'd prefer Tamaki in dark role compared to the cheery one.

On second thought, maybe I should just rewatch Love Shuffle or PRIDE (again???!!??)

I don't have much interest in anything in the upcoming season. Lately I have been re-watching things or trying out TW and Cdramas instead since I've watched most of the old Jdramas I wanted to try.

i know how u feel, my list looks like a desperate attempt to appreciate the new drama. Thats why i feel kinda pathetic when i finalized the list. its kinda sad that jdrama seems to have list its magic n charms. i've been going through rewatching old j drama n random watch or resume runthrough on k-drama as well. w k-drama, its a hit n miss, trial n error, so its kinda toOk tine to find what I like...

Yeah Kdramas are a few hits and a lot of misses for me. There are some (less than 10) that I totally love, but it took a lot of suffering to find them.

yessss, to find ONE, you have to suffer through possibly TEN series, plus what other people said to be good, i maY not like it for whatever reason, eg. descendants of the sun, watch couple of episodes on the plane 2 weeks ago and found story is ok but i didnt feel the characters so it came out as flat to me loll

That first sentence: so true. I could tell you my top ten Kdramas, and I have no confidence you would like any of them except maybe Sungkyunkwan Scandal.

do share w me, i'm always curious on what other people are watching. i consider myself as the oddball coz i don't like lots of actors for whatever petty reasons lol. I never try Sungkyunkwan Scandal coz no like micky yuchun lol, n particularly this one really reminds me of the old nicky wu's movie, shanbo yingtai... which is super tragic.

I seem to be an oddball in my tastes too, and especially with Kdramas there are a lot of actors I can't stand too.

A Man's Story (Slow for about the first 4 eps but awesome and funny after that, with no romance--a nice break in Kdramas.)

Can You Hear My Heart

Evasive Inquiry Agency (This has a very...special sense of humor, and the first few eps were rather draggy, but I liked it better the more it went along. Plus great characters with no romance.)

You're Beautiful

I'm Sorry, I Love You

Goodbye Solo (Probably the most unique Kdrama I've seen.)

Family's Honor (Until the weddings it's great--then it goes downhill fast. If I had to do it over I'd just end it there.)

Sungkyunkwan Scandal (I decided watching it I don't like him either, but it was one of my early Kdramas so I didn't know any of the actors at the time. But it's your typical upbeat harem comedy with lots of bromance and Song Joong Ki into Joseon porn--nothing tragic at all.)

Ghost (2012) (No romance.)

City Hunter (Except that Lee Min Ho's face gives me nausea. By the time we get here in the ranking...let's just say I didn't have much to pick from to round out the top ten.)

Yes! finally another person besides me who doesn't like Lee Min Ho's face. That's one of the reason why I haven't touched City Hunter LOL.

I don't understand the charm of Song Joong Ki (a reason why I don't touch DOTS). I'd classify my not understanding it the same as why I don't get Park Bo Gum either LOL.

I don't find him charming. But at least he doesn't make me queasy lol. I have to put up with enough of that as it is with Kdramas. XD
