After a long draught, finally Fall 2016 is here. Most of the time, I have faith in Fall season dorama, so this time I put my faith that doramaland maintains this assumption. So a few that I will try to watch:

Kyoaku wa Nemurasenai SP ~ I watch anything with Tamaki, whether I'll like it and keep on watching it will be another question.
Career ~ Yes, I'll watch anything with Tamaki. Why he's not doing romcom is beyond me. I miss the smoldering Tamaki!!!
Jimi ni Sugoi ~ took a glimpse of Epi 1, it looks decent though I couldn't say that I like Ishihara Satomi's character, but I'll still watch it for her. However, if it gets boring, then I'll drop it.

I'm not sure whether I want to watch Koe Koi (it'll be a binge watching).

To be honest, I really miss the old time of J-dorama where I was so overwhelmed on which drama I should watch. The current selection is meh to be honest. They should just do another season of Legal High and I'll watch it without any thoughts, and I thought there'll be another season of Dr X (this is the only drama which I kept on watching and has been consistent in delivery)?

I wonder why TV Asahi doesn't turn Jiken Kyumeii ~ Imat no Kiseki into a drama. It already has 2 SP and I like both of them, full of suspense and twist at the end, and I'd prefer Tamaki in dark role compared to the cheery one.

On second thought, maybe I should just rewatch Love Shuffle or PRIDE (again???!!??)

Well, another episode of carrot dangling before the slaughter begins, and worse, it'll spill over to the next episode where they put in another carrot on the preview. What's more infuriating is how they make Hae Soo's lack of trust in So, but kept on the trust in Wook that he won't do bad things (even the evil king already blatantly hinting that Wook is the shitty bad guy, come on, surely Hae Soo can use her brain, right?). Sigh, hasn't So done enough for Hae Soo to earn her trust? He's literally sacrificed his own life drinking the poisoned tea for her. What's wrong with this girl? I get the flashes affect her in the earlier episodes, but not now, that's just plain bullshit altogether. That's just seeds of the ugly foreshadowing for future episodes. Must the Korean version follow the C-version towards the shitty sad ending? I seriously don't want to see precious pup So turns evil with more eyeliner.

I need more happy fanfic of SoxSoo to heal my soul and sustain my frustration until next week. Or watch the cute BTS again... Also lots of hugs for [livejournal.com profile] i_am_zan for sending me the super fluff LavixLenaLee fic, that's just cuteness overload considering where the anime left us LOL.

In the meantime, enjoy the pretty cinematography of the date scene from Epi 14. Those rare happy moments... argh... So needs all the happiness that he deserves...

That beautiful lake is so lovely that it'll soothe your angry soul from watching Epi 15... grrr...

And lastly have some smiley pup (enjoy it while it lasts)...

I feel like the drama just baited us with some juicy carrots aka that less than 10minutes moments combined alltogether after waiting for 14 episodes!
all the way to the slaughter house, and soon all hell breaks loose. I'd still like to know where Jung stands. It's still unclear and the evil queen still has influence over him.

Having said that this drama is one of those rare drama where good and bad guys are blurred out due to their reasonings and point of view. Sure the 3rd prInce is evil, especially 8th prince (he's getting worse by episode), but they have their backgoubd and reasonIng explained, not just shown as plain evil.

I lost hope of having a happy end for this drama, esp looking at ep15 trailer, at the very least I hope the ending won't be that painful and the ship doesn't sink like the Chinese version.

My very last hope is that So doesn't lose the warmth after he becomes Gwanjeong. Please stay precious, and don't be like the Chinese version. But the seeds for this scenario were there.. sobs, sobs, the foreshadowing... sobs....

What.did.I.just.watch???? I felt so bad, n have the need to pat and hug Allen. Seriously, shits that happened to Kanda suddenly doesn't look so bad compared to Allen's. What's with that cardinal? Too many shitty 'humans' in the Order itself, and the pope and hitler dude seriously need to die!

And Kanda and Allen, that's a very beautiful friendship!  Allen didn't give up on Kanda and now he's paying Allen back, and thank goodness he's alive (the only good thing from this season).

I kept having this feeling that the Noahs are not the actual bad guys. The good and tge bad is always not purely black and white here, but one thing for sure, the world will be a happier place without the hitler dude.

ps. do not watch ep. 11 in the middle of the night or you'll wake up the neighbors in horror state, and I need a timcappy for myself.

so, when is the next season? another 10 years?

While we're waiting for the continuation of the horrid ending that we're left of this week (I still couldn't let go of it until I watch the next episode), let's talk about the character that everybody hates, that evil Queen Yoo. She's the mother of 3th (Wang Yo), 4th (Wang So) and 14th (Wang Jung) prince with the very clear one objective in this drama, to rise up to be the King's mother. And for her to reach that position, she won't hesitate to use her children as tools. To make the story short, basically so far she scarred little Wang So's face when protested the King for not taking more concubines, then threw away Wang So to be 'adopted' since she saw him as the damaged good, then literally made Wang Yo to do all the dirty jobs, while mercilessly insulting, assaulting the other ladies beneath her who she deemed had crossed her. Wow, we're not even halfway through the whole series yet and we'll see more scheming & insults from her, for sure.

Yes, she's so full of hate especially towards our angsty tsundere, Wang So, but that's what fascinating about her.

Who don't feel like throwing something at her?

OK, let's get off this heavy topic with the new OTP, Wang So x any trees. I mean, he made friends with them, gave them names, and even gave them away as gifts <3

Have a good weekend guys! And I can't wait for Monday (only until October! LOL)

Might as well make this list before I forgot what I've been watching. I should have done this a long time ago before I stopped on K-drama so that I know where I left off, not that it matters but it could make my watching routine/binge more structured and more efficient because right now I'm just jumping around on any drama that I thought would be interesting, though some ending up in the dumping bin. I won't mention those that have gone to the dumping bin, only those that I managed to finish, whether with tons of fast forward or not. It'll be still a long list, but I'd think still be lesser than the J-dorama. And since it'll be a lesser list, I'll just put a short thought on what I like or whatever.

Again, emphasizing of my criteria of a drama. Visual is the utmost importance. There's no point watching a drama unless the story is really good and appealing to me if there's no visual. I'm dealing with lots of shit and excels everyday, so I need to see something pretty and think less at the end of the day. Another habit of mine is going through actors' resume if I want to do a binge watching. I like to see how an actor grow (or not) and the type of works that he'd chosen.

Here we go... )

OMG NOOOOOOOO!!!! I almost stop breathing when Kanda turned into stone! This anime is a freaking roller coaster! So how Kanda going to go back to Allen since Alma died already? Anime surely know that D.Gray-man is not D.Gray-man without AllenxKanda, yeah? And WTF that hitler cosplay dude is still alive! Should have just kill him instead of killing the innocent Alma, sobs! And what will happen to Allen? Gosh gosh...

Yes, this 2016 harem drama finally graced us all with not just 2 but 3 episodes for the first week, and so far? It looks amazingly beautiful. Bigger budget makes a difference. And off course, with the eye candies overload, the visual effect is just multiplied by a lot.

The cinematography is breathtaking and impactful! The prettiness!

Plot wise it moves quite fast for a saeguk drama, a good effort to cram in the over 30 episodes of Chinese version. However, I'd strongly suggest not to compare this with the Chinese version because it's different from the get go. I'd say this drama is inspired by the Chinese version or the Korean take of the novel rather than a re-make. The concept is the same, the girl time travelled and landed in another girl's body in the past, and the past is the kingdom with lots of handsome princes. But from here, comes all the differences. The most apparent is the princes' cliques. In Chinese version the 4th and 13th were like BFF, not in here, and 8th prince didn't hang out with 3rd prince in Chinese version. The queen's favoritism is the same though, but the 14th prince character is different. He's more gullible and well loved here, which is interesting on how this will go later (I have high hope in Ji Soo's portrayal of 14th prince in the future episodes). Heck, even the 4th prince has a completely different take in here. The 4th prince that I know from the Chinese version is a rather stoic with the calm outer appearance but we all know that he's scheming inside his head. Completely different from here whereby we're blessed with a broken wounded misunderstood awkward tsundere who could actually looks cool in modern time, but ended up being feared and loathed (by his own brothers and even mother to booth!) in this ancient period. The king in here is also very different from the Chinese version, he's more humane, as in the drama gave the audience his inner thought of slight guilt/regret towards how he treated the 4th prince, while the Chinese version focused more on how the king was feared and a literal tyrant (how many people being executed for silly or valid reasons, regardless, in that drama? Countless). All these differences may merged later in the future episodes, but so far, these are the gaps in my book.

Sorry, I just have to make this one bigger, any complaints?
So, what's this drama is in for me? After episode 3, this drama is literally a homefield game for Lee Jun Ki, and the drama team knows it, hence so many (literally) close up face shots of him. And the person himself seemed to have too much fun playing the 4th prince, and he never fails to impress me with his acting. His facial expressions here, the eyes (his eyes speak a million words, and in here with the mask and only clearly showing 1 eye, it's even more impressive), the gazes, the movements, are very smooth and natural. You'll feel for 4th prince (plus pet & hug him and telling him it's all right) even though he just killed 10 people at one sitting and for those scenes his half of his face is covered with blood (and the other half is with the mask LOL). Look forward for more prettiness, angst, and more angst from 4th prince.

4th prince close up shots appreciation since he's so bloody damn pretty here... )

D.Gray-man... what is this that I've watched??? Kanda was just too pitiful (but white hair Kanda is bloody damn cool!!!), and before we're going to get more Kanda angst, we'll have intermesso of Allen's angst??? Earl, what is it that you actually want? All those sufferings... each episode is just toying my heart. I don't really understand why Alma must kill Kanda though, he kept on saying that if he doesn't kill Kanda he'll... what? WHAT? Sorry, I ain't a mind reader, so just spell it out! In this episode, there's no thinking in Kanda, he kept on charging & attacking and it's heart wrenching. AND, why the hell is that hitler look-a-like dude still alive? The hatred that I got on him is deep, very deep (both his face & character are equally hatred-friendly).

And 1 more day to that harem drama... finally, but I'll wait for subs or maybe after 2 episodes, or maybe 4, but don't think I can last that long wait though. The longer preview just increases the temptation, sigh. This drama is practically a Fushigi Yuugi live action without 4 gods and all the magic, but still have the action. Just look at the princes, the eye candies <3. The me who don't watch Chinese drama purposely watch both season of Scarlett Heart just for this (1st season is good despite the long winded merry go round, that's why it's bloody damn long, 2nd season is meh and pissed me off real bad, no saving grace). The C-version is like watching a pre-set otome game with all the options explored. At this point, I don't really care what the K-version will be like, just look at the visual will make me happy. And since this drama sucks LJG's weight so much (he looks so bloody damn scrawny now, it's freaking me out), it'd better be good.

and I have a swollen toe now. The poor toe just endured the hit of the fallen of a mixing bowl with 1 kg of meatloaf mix. Thanksfully the bone is still in tact!

The flu bug is flying around me non stop for the last 4 days :(. Having porridge as your diet is good for a day or 2, but it's getting annoying now because we don't have that many condiments here (the thought of having to go city to buy them while you're coughing and sneezing is... nope). I already did the chicken porridge, the dried scallop porridge... what else? Leek porridge? I basically run out of ideas, and the flu is still here...

Watched D.Gray-man ep. 6 & 7 and OMG, human beings are just so cruel. Kanda didn't really deserve all those painful memories and to even snoop around his memories without his permission, sobs sobs, how many episodes they plan for Kanda vs Alma battle? I don't really want Kanda to kill Alma again for the second time, it's just too heartbreaking.

And speaking of heartbreaking, W ep. 9 is equally heartbreaking, and Kang Chul's solution backfired too! The killer has too many variables, can't wait for the next ep, 1 week is just too long of a wait. Kang Chul'd better pay Yeon Joo's heartbreaking scenes with quadruple cuteness overload in near future episodes!

and nobody expresses how awesome W is better than Prof Park.

Last weekend was very eventful, we have the Gold for Singapore from swimming (a very big congrats to Joseph Schooling for his hardwork!!!), and at the same time the legendary Michael Phelps announcing his final bow with the Rio olympic, and so an era has ended. Then the next day we have another legend, SMAP, ending with disbandment by the end of 2016.

While it's kind of expected considering the how hateful that senile grandma towards SMAP, it still makes no sense to me businesswise to kill SMAP. They can be considered as mature product, but nowhere they're at the end of the product lifecycle. SMAPxSMAP is still raking the rating, the members still have CMs every now and then, their concerts is still full house, their albums/singles are still selling (despite the lack of singing, let's be real, they can't sing for their lives) --> still has more sales than V6, so why kill it? I only can see this as the senile grandma's personal vendetta and to set examples to the rest of the herds that she's still in power and it's her company and she can do whatever she wants with it, even sacrificing a marginal income. The only short term gain that we will see is probably the hike of old SMAP albums' sales, but don't think this goes 100% back to Johnny's. As for the marriage thingy, I don't find this as a reason for disbandment. Yes they may want to get married, but the fans age group is also maturing and I don't think the delluded ones make the majority of the pool, and if the management is smart enough they can prepare fans to understand them or do the proper press conference etc thing, whatever. I don't think that's impossible, unless the culture is so hypocritical to maintain the available bachelor image at all times, which kind of loss in translation when the idols are getting older. Still don't find this as a natural case of disbandment as I can imagine the whole lots of batshit office politics going on inside Johnny's.

So what does it mean by SMAP disbanding after 25 years? Other older groups are given the example that the groups' age are capped to 25? Yes they're old but they jolly well still can dance and will probably still be able to for the next 10 years. Look at Madonna, she still kicks ass despite her age. You just should not expect them to do backflips or those tough acrobatic moves. I'm worried of V6 now.

Having said that, thank you SMAP for the long running fun and glitters that you've brought for our entertainment. SMAPxSMAP skits are forever gold!!, Sekai ni Hitotsu Dake no Hana is one of the most memorable songs of all time, glorious concerts that I now will never be able to have a chance to even fantasizing of going (I hope Shingo will direct the kouhais concerts in the future), and many other fun moments. All the best for all members' future endavours. And Johnny's, since you're so shitty as a company, from now on, I'll only support V6 until the day you cut them (the money goes more to AVEX than to you), nothing more.

This is yet another sad reminder that there's no fandom that will last forever, everything will have an end someday, so enjoy it while it lasts.

I shouldn't have watched this when it's still on air. This is not healthy and it's painful to wait for each week for new episodes and especially when we have the possible cancellation due to Olympic. Very painful.

The OTP is so adorable. The flirting is too much for the heart (or rather, basically Kang Chul flirts with any human beings he encounters). The kissing scenes are funny or sweet. No wasted characters so far and I like the Yeon Joo and Professor Park's scenes. Hillarious and get you back to the ground from too much day dreaming.

Don't forget to throw any details out of the window. Nevermind that the rain always pours during Kang Chul's angst moments, but his hair and suit are in perfect and prestine condition. Nevermind how many handphones that Yeon Joo has lost so far 2? 3? 4?... I lost count tbh. Nevermind not washing hair very often means it's not even oily but perfectly soft and fluffy.

Prof Park, you're not the only one...
Some screencap, basically tribute to Prof Park snarky comments... )

Having a binge of K-drama after so many years gave me a new realization that I really like those drama which involves unrealistic aspects. Not in the sense of the dude is rich etc, but in the sense of time travel, different dimensions, super power abilities, saeguk but not those seriously historical and long ones (yeah those stuffs LOL). And I've developed a new habit of avoiding the high school theme drama, unless it's interesting to me. Most likely probably due to the so many live action in the past few years for the good or bad. Too many and it's overkilling.

Maybe this is also why I like watching Lee JunKi's saeguk drama and looking forward to Scarlett Heart Ryeo. So, this drama, W is not exception for me to tune in. 2 worlds between manhwa and reality with a good looking main character come to live. As a manga reader, this is like a dream come true, and coming from the writer of Queen InHyeon's Man, okay I'll bite.

Your face when the sad reality is slapped in front of your face XD

Serious attempt not to put in spoiler... but who am I kidding? )

Finally, I managed to watch D.Gray-man. I kind of lost on what happened to Allen, but I don't want to re-watch all the old episodes (too many people died in this anime, same like Shingeki no Kyojin), so I know jolly well that my current heart won't be able to take it. Then come towards the end... why the hell, oh why the hell, they killed off Cross Marian? what the hell????? I hope it's just a camouflage or something, he's not actually dead... but then this is D.Gray-man, people die like nobody business in this anime, sigh...

And then why we still have that Hitler look-a-like dude? They should have just kill him instead, and I hate that dude. He endlessly makes all the main characters suffer directly or indirectly.

PS: I don't find that I miss the old voices, which surprised me as well.

PPS: after episode 4, all I can say is... whoaa, that's BRUTAL!!! Only epi 4 and so many died!! This anime really has no mercy... and don't you dare kill Kanda!! Don't you dare!!!

Another different concert experience aka something other than Johnny's. This year I vote for GACKT because... I feel that I need to watch his live at least once in my lifetime. Only went to the 2nd of July because the extension was announced only much later and AUD is really shitty now.

Last Visualive is a concept concert so the set list and performances are matched to that very theme, and I'm a sucker for concerts with concept. I'm not really familiar with the Moon Saga as a whole, and not exactly very fond of the Yoshitsune story, particularly that war scene. I find Yoshitsune story as a whole is really sad and tragic. The brothers fighting with each other and literally went to war, which Yoshitsune lost, triggered by those people who gossipped and badmouthed around. It shows how fleeting trust can be, even between family. Tackey's Takizawa Kabuki also had that same war scene, the fighting under the rain, but in here it was made based on the darker and heavier tone, plus we have the additional dark magic etc involved here. The whole concert is divided into 4 Act, the first one is the war itself with the ending note of Yoritomo ordering the kill of Yoshitsune, and then we have the dark set with GACKT sporting that 'I dunno how he can even move with that costume' costume plus that super cool mike stand. The 2nd and 3rd act is flashbacks from the first meeting between Yoshitsune and Yoritomo and also the happy times together with Yoshitsune's vassals. Then the last act is back to the 'present' of Yoshitsune's dying moment. I can't really remember clearly on the details because lots of quotations from the Moon Saga play, and they even include the shooting scene from the Moon Child movie (which I find a bit random, but somehow still fits into the whole story).

My favorites in random order will be the koto performance (it looks awesome, nevermind that the costume is so gloomy and GACKT looks like a ghost jamming a koto there), PS I love You (coz I like these kinds of songs from GACKT and I'm bias, plus GACK in white shirt is... enough said), Mai Baby!! -Wooha- (i feel that this song is built for the sake of the concert, it's one of those perfect concert song, it allows whoever sing this song to engage the audiences, which in this concert, we have the taiko DDR, and it's damn fun), same reason for Koi no Friday. Most of the songs come from Act 3 (yeah, the fun part) because I cannot really tell which song is which on Act 1, probably only Arrow and Returner (a fail fan because I've been listening to Shinhwa the past few weeks, GACKT songs was too heavy for me the past couple of weeks).

My seat was not so close but also not too far and I like to sit with the center view so it's all good. The screen is a big gigantic curtain. That red moon on the center is actually a projection which is kind of cool. I didn't know that the stage is actually in the n shape until GACKT ran around during Act 3. The center piece of the stage, which is that gigantic skeleton, was there from start to end, but you'll somewhat forget about that center piece with the help of the background screen, it did make a lot of difference, and I enjoyed it emmensely. Overall, definitely the gimmicks is no where near Johnny's standard, but it works perfectly fine with the concept and purpose. Afterall the selling point is... GACKT, the props are there to amplify his persona on stage (I literally have that impression from Act 1). And I can't compare this concert against the L'Arc en Ciel concert in Singapore a few years back either because this one has a story to tell, hence the setlist is customized to suit the concept, whereas Laruku's concert is like MS station show non stop. And speaking of stop, there's a quite long down time in between act 2 & 3, not sure why that happened. The only reason I can think of is to allow GACKT to recover because after that it's MC time.

Watching GACKT concert reminds me again what makes watching different concerts from different acts interesting to me. The way GACKT work the crowd is another feast to the hearts of fangirls (from effortlessly kawaii to effortlessly kakkoii in split second back and forward and you can't decide which one you like better) and it's amazing how he knows exactly what the fans want at every particular moments.
The fan demographic amazed me as well. We have teens all the way to oji-sans and grandmas (in gothic get up nonetheless), and we also have kids, brought by their parents with the nekomimi cheering for GACKT too.

I'm not sure whether I'll have a chance to be able to see The Last Visualive World tour next year, but I'd love to re-live the moments of awesomeness again.

The tidbits... )

I dunno, I find Dean is still not right as Hokuto. He doesn't have that arrogant sleek rich bastard look. He's cute but he doesn't look badass, the menacing look for revenge is not there. And, drama, guess you're gonna skip A LOT on what's on manga huh? Why Chiwa is not an OL and you make Hokuto working for a consulting company, not a direct Mamiya company? Is it so that you can skip the boss-staff relationship? Then, what's with meeting the whole family so quickly on ep 2? That should only happened when the relationship between Hokuto and Chiwa is strengthened and definitely not the very beginning. I'll be judging you if you make Hokuto and Chiwa fight after the family meeting. And looking at Shinoda Mariko as Shitara, are you planning to bring forward the love triangle? This love triangle thing should be only a speck out of the whole thing, which is why I love the manga. The manga emphasize Hokuto and Chiwa interaction, there's not much a third party intervention though Chiwa actually has lots of fans, which Hokuto only recognized later on. And I guess we can kiss all those bed scenes goodbye then... sigh... so much for a live action, ha! I literally have 0 expectation on that area after this 1st episode LOL.

You're too cute... too cute...

I think it's an OK start and will be an OK mediocore drama at the end for those who never read the manga or read the manga but only expect certain points for live action. I need to see how the leads do the cat fight scenes because that's what makes the manga enjoyable, the annoyance, the fight, and the make up sex afterwards... LOL

http://aramajapan.com/news/kubota-masataka-to-play-the-tragic-kaneki-ken-in-the-tokyo-ghoul-live-action-adaptation/60151/

Really? must all manga/anime out there be converted into live-action? As much as I like Tokyo Ghoul, but I don't think this anime will turn out decent on live-action. How they're going to CG the fighting scene, especially the one when Kaneki fought Jason?
I'm not worried about the casting, I mean Kubota can act and most likely he'll deliver (his Death Note is heart wrenching, even being the nerdy dude in Summer Nude made him look more outstanding than Yamapi, LOL).

I don't give a shit about who's gonna be Touko, but who's gonna be Tsukiyama? Than psycho cannibal? Miyano Mamoru did a fantastic job on the character that it's so memorable. How to beat that in live action? The only person I can think of who can do justice is probably Hasegawa Hiroki...

Too many live action nowadays... it's not exciting anymore. I'd rather they do movie/drama based on novels than manga or anime.
People are getting lazy and wanting quick bucks huh?

My interest in anything related to Johnny's has been depleting for quite sometime. I think it started with the SMAP saga and at the same time, there's an over exposed of Arashi and other groups as well, in a sense. It's not about releasing more singles or albums, which I'd much prefer to actually, but it's the exposure in other media appearances which overwhelmed me. I'm not sure if it's actually already going on for quite some time and I only notice it recently OR it started right after the SMAP saga. But, bottom line is, Johnny's as a company has been pushing too many things at the same time everywhere and my imagination says it's their plan B considering SMAP situation now (I'm still waiting for Sep for the conclusion, and in the meantime SMAPxSMAP is not the same anymore to me :( ). This kind of push may not be so apparent if you only follow 1 group, but it's quite overwhelming when you follow afew, let alone majority of the groups, and if you see Johnny's as one company entity.

In dramaland, if you notice, I haven't been writing anything since Winter 2016 season because I only literally finished 1 drama (DameKoi), and for Spring 2016, I haven't even finished any, nor do I even have the will to continue watching them. I feel like I'm searching for the magic and trying hard to find it with the recent seasons of J-drama but the magic is not sparking or there're not even traces of glitters. It's either because my taste changes (which I don't think so, my criteria for drama is still the same), or my mood changes, or the J-drama land just sucks all together lately. I don't think it's the last part (I still have some faith in J-drama) regardless whether it's complex or simple plot drama. But I find that even the rom-com theme is hard to watch. Is marriage that important? seems that TV station is painting across everywhere in their romcom drama that it's a girl's dream to get married. I'd prefer K-drama blatant inserts of girls must be married after certain age culture. It's sexist and equally annoying, but at least they don't try to be passive agressive about it. And to make it worse, I don't really look forward to Summer drama especially after I watched some episodes of Misaeng (yep, the K-drama version of that Nakajima Yuuto's new drama). If J-drama version if going for the same intensity as the K-drama, then it has better be as intense as Hanzawa Naoki (it has similar feels anyway), else, it'll go south, but I'm still waiting to be proven wrong here, because Misaeng has a good theme, which is very relatable to Japan work culture. At the same time, I'll make a note to check out more of TVN's drama. I like Queen Inhyeon's Man and Another Miss Oh (it better be happy end, else I'll be devastated). What about the live actions? I already see 2 adaptations Happy Mari and Seisei Suruhodo, Aishiteru, and to be honest I don't have good feeling for both. I love the manga version of Happy Mari, and though I like Dean Fujioka, I don't think he can do justice for Hokuto. On the other hand, Happy Mari will be a good source for K-drama because it has all the scheming of a chaebol company and inheritance, which are the regular theme of K-drama anyway, and the current K-drama makes more convincing bed scenes than J-drama (not all, but still better), and Happy Mari is afterall, a smut manga, not shoujo, so if J-drama ends up deleting all the bed scenes, then, well, there goes the so-called live action. I haven't read Seisei, but from the synopsis, it makes me wonder, how the drama actually going to turn up as, another boring live action or there's extra effort to it?

All these factors plus limited internet access (cannot download, only can do streaming with plenty of patience), leads me to... Shinhwa blackhole. Yes it's a blackhole because I only started with re-collecting Shin Hyesung's songs. I used to listen to his songs (his voice soothes me), not Shinhwa, and I forgot about him until recently when I started to check out k-pop again (he had an mini album out early this year - and it's a good one, something different from him). And while doing that, I realized why I never really listen to Shinhwa in the past... it's because their old albums have lots of R&B stuffs. Their newer albums (The Returns onwards) are easier to my ears, and now they're already matured and basically can do whatever they want with their song releases (much like the older Johnny's have a say in whatever they're releasing). Since Shinhwa is still active and started from not far from H.O.T era (yeah I listened to T.O.P that long time ago, and that's the only song I know of Shinhwa), their material is equally abundance like V6's (Kpop being Kpop has Youtube to testify for it, not like... Johnny's), and the more I read about them the more I find that they have the V6's endurance, SMAP's brotherhood and Arashi's charms. Their variety show, Shinhwa Broadcast is like 1 hour version of Arashi no Shukudai-kun. I'd think that if Arashi has V6's popularity trend, it'd be exactly like that. Right now, VS Arashi is boring for me (repeatitive), I'm indifferent about Arashi ni Shiyagare (Nino's yelling out answer is getting annoying and I realized I only watch AniShi nowadays for Matsujun's segment), and I only watch Sho-chan's Yakai show if the guests are the ones I like.

So, in the meantime, unless J-drama offer something different, I'll be going deeper and deeper into Shinhwa blackhole...
And I'd kill if V6 does this choreography!!! V6 may not be able to sing as good (cough - Ken's fault), but they jollywell can dance this and main reason is coz I want to see Ken do Andy's part!

Anybody excited on this? I do, coz... Yamada and shunin.

Well, Dean Fujioka really had his breakthrough huh. Can still remember the odd awkward feelings saw his interview article on airlines magazine years ago thinking 'Who's this dude?', so good on him.

On Yamada, I don't understand the hate on his Nagisa in Ansatsu, thought it was fine and Yamada made a good psycho killer anyway and proven by his Grasshopper's Semi. But my fave work of his is Risou no Musuko, the koala punch and cosplay are unforgettable lol

The only worrisome thing is the CG. I hope it's not some cheap unrealistic CG *cough* shingeki no kyojin.

Another nice episode, less talking more moving around this time.

So, Eikura Nana used her skill from Okada sensei? Cool move she did in this episode.

Still as creepy as ever, but...

Wait, Miyama and Sada sensei... both of them are too similar... this is going to be a good combi!
